Thousands of people swarmed Taco Bell Arena to hear Barack Obama speak to Idahoans – as part of his bid to become the Democratic nominee for this fall’s presidential election.

I got up at five this morning to go see Barack along with thirteen thousand others. I'm so glad I did. It was one of the most exciting and memorable moments of my life. Getting up at five was the easy part. It was the waiting in line for two hours in the freezing and sometimes snowy weather that was difficult. Luckily I was surrounded by a fun group of people which made the time go by faster. I ended up making friends with a woman who was there on her own too and she and I ended up sitting together in the upper level front row. We had a great view and she was nice enough to share her binoculars. I have to say that I've been a Hilary fan up until now. Barack has convinced me (and I'm sure a lot of others) that he would make a better president. There is something about this guy that is truly inspiring. I sure hope he ends up the nominee.

How exciting! I have never been to see a national nominee only locals.

I liked his platform up until I heard a news report that he is in favor of allowing illegal alliens to obtain driver license. I plan to check to see if that was a true statement or more political prop-a-hoo-la.

Stay warm,
Kath

I know it is going to be a tough decision for most people. One thing that Obama said that resonates with me is “If you like the way things are going in our country now, Clinton can guarantee the same old, same old.” If you truly want someone with fresh ideas and a new start, someone who will work hard to bring people together, friends and enemies alike, I’m your guy”. I feel like the Republicans have had thier chance, and so have the Clintons. Let's give this guy a chance!

It's so good to hear that thousands of people are getting interested in who runs their government! I've voted in every presidentual race since I was 21...the legal age in the 50's.

When Jim was a little guy I saw Jack Kennedy and his wife Jackie sitting in the back seat of a convertable...pretty much like the day he got shot! It's a heady experience.
I wanted to see Hillary but she was here in Pahrump while we were visiting you guys in Boise. Bill was here the day of the caucus but I read itin the local paper too late to attend.

This will be an interesting year for politics and I agree with Brian Williams...it's too close to call!
What about that Huckabee??

I REALLY like him!! Yet I'm conflicted. I'd really like to see the first woman elected President in US history. I think you're right though - the Clinton's have had their chance. Plus they are sure to rally all the Clinton-haters to get to the polls and vote for McCain (even though they hate him too). It's a crazy election year.

Clinton and Obama are both going to be in Houston on Feb. 28th for a debate at the George R. Brown Convention Center. My friend Ellen and I are making plans to go. Price is still in a political funk since Edwards dropped out.

My 2 cents...talk to you later.

Love ya,
Marty

I was wondering how Price was doing since Edwards dropped out. I hope he still plans on voting. I've been bitterly disappointed in the past myself with the appointed nominee. That's exciting that you get to see a live debate. Can't wait to hear about it. M

I read an article that people are calling Obama the Messiah.

Mary, should it matter to the voters that Obama and Hillary are committted communitarians? Do Americans need to know that this is a political theory that will abolish the constitution and the bill of rights? I'm sure he never explained that in his speech.

Would you like to read what Amitai Etzioni said about them? Fresh ideas and a new start.. surely you want to know exactly what he means by that.

I wish I had time to read more on the subject. I’m not sure who Amitai Etzioni even is. I admire you for being so open to new ideas and opinions. Anyone who is willing to express themselves in a positive and respectful way is certainly welcome to comment on my blog. Keep up the good work and thanks for visiting.

I should have Googled Amitai Etzioni before my last comment. I would be interested in reading his book, The Active Society. I'll put it on my list. :)

Mary I'mglad you read. I have most of Etzioni's pubished books and I've also studied his master's thesis and his phd dissertation.

Our antithesis is that Amitai Etzioni (which is his kibbutz name that means Tree of Life from Zion) is a foreign Mossad agent whose platform for creating a "good society" will eliminate our right to own private property and to determine our own future.

To understand the ultimate ramifications of Etzioni's agenda we need look no further than the EU. When the French and Dutch voters rejected the proposed constitution in 2005 based on its "supremacy of communitarian law," their benevolant communitarian leaders signed a new treaty in Lisbon in 2007 that eliminates the right of the European voters to bring a referendum against it ever again. That's "real" democracy.

CAFTA and NAFTA and the SPP are all treaties based in communitarian law. Obama, Hillary and McCain all support and endorse communitarian supremacy over Americans. So no matter what, we will become a fully communitarianized region very soon.

My "good work" has been a complete waste of time. So no, I don't plan on keeping it up. There's nothing in the U.S. worth saving anymore.

Also, Etzioni can barely speak Enlish let alone write it. His office assistant Erin Riska confirmed in 2003 that he doesn't write his own books, yet he never gives credit to the real writers in any of his books. He's also a Fabian. Their open conspiracy agenda is to promote propaganda and lies in order to bring on a one world government, so it should come as no suprise that he is an expert liar as well as a self-porclaimed expert in "everything" else.

You can read our thesis for free online at http://nord.twu.net

Our book "2020: Our Common Destiny" is a short introduction to our new communitarian globalist system.

My "prediction" for the 2008 election is Hillary and Obama will be the new White House patsies for Amitai Etzioni and the other 11 communitarian thinkers running the show, and U.S. history will be rewritten by Talmudic scholars.

Let me know if you have trouble getting his books, I'll be happy to send them to you.
