Chili in the house

I made a pot of my sister Kathy's famous chili yesterday. We watched some football, munched on chips and salsa and waited for the chili to be done. Yum! Today I painted the laundry room. I'm slowly getting each room painted and the house is starting to feel a little more like home.

Mmmm - that chili sure looks good. I've been meaning to thank you for turning me on to the Salsa Seasoning you use - kids (especially the boys) absolutely love that stuff!

Wonder what that low blood sugar is about? And how fun to have permission to eat candy! I had my annual blood work done recently too and for the first time in my entire life, my calcium level was "normal." Surgery did the trick I guess.

Shelby is having her tonsils and adenoids taken out Monday. I can remember how very painful that was for me and for Mandy - so dreading it for our Shell Bell.

Love you Mare. Talk to you soon.

Your sis,
Marty

I remember when Mandy had her tonsils out and how bad I felt for her mainly because of the IV she had in her (it was causing her pain). I will keep Shelby in my thoughts, and Mandy too, and you too...

I went to my endocrinologist yesterday and he told me all kinds of things that the low blood sugar could mean, mostly scary stuff but I'm not going to panic until they do more blood work and get the final results. I am very thankful to have an excellant doctor who took a lot of time with me...that's always nice.

Tom told me he had a fantastic time in Texas. I will try and call you this weekend and we can catch up as they say.

Love you Mart!

That is actually store bought salsa, I was lazy. And yes Kathy I dig out that chili recipe about this time every fall when it starts getting cold. It is the best darn chili. Next time I'm going to try your white chili recipe. :)
